Shipping to an American address (Revised May 12, 2008)
- Postage and handling is generally $4.00 for the first book, and 50 cents for each additional book, with adjustments being made for weight on larger orders or oversize items. Parcels are sent by USPS media mail unless otherwise specified. Orders under eleven ounces are upgraded to first-class mail at no additional charge. Priority mail is available at $6.00 for the first book, and $1.00 for each additional book.
- Insurance, if desired, is available at current Post Office rates. At present insurance costs $1.70 for orders up to $50.00, $2.15 from $50.01 to $100.00, $2.60 from $100.01 to $200.00, $4.60 from $200.01 to $300.00 etc. Delivery confirmation (with tracking information) is available for an additional $0.75 per parcel.
- Sorry, we do not have access to UPS, Federal Express, or any other shipping service other than the U.S. postal service.
Shipping to a Canadian address (Revised May 12, 2008)
- Postage and handling is generally $8.00 for the first book, and 50 cents for each additional book, with adjustments being made for weight on larger orders. (All Canadian parcels shipped by Canada Post are shipped by Expedited Parcel rate, which includes a tracking number and insurance up to $100.00, except for thin paperbacks, which can be mailed First Class Letter Rate.) Extra insurance, if desired, is available for $1.50 per $100.00 of insurance required. We reserve the right to ship parcels destined for Canada by United States Postal Service, as this method may prove to be preferable in certain situations.
- As Pandora's Books is a Canadian company, residents of Canada must pay GST on the cost of the books, plus the cost of shipping.
Shipping to an overseas address (Revised May 12, 2008)
- As of May 14, 2007 there are significant changes to the way overseas mail is handled by USPS. Please note that surface mail has been eliminated, in favor of First Class Mail International.
- Outside North America, postage and handling is estimated at $7.50 for the first paperback or $13.00 for the first hardcover. Any second item will be calculated at an additional $2.00. There are definite advantages to ordering multiple books in a single package, and we may be able to adjust the shipping charge accordingly. In any event, we try to calculate the best shipping method for each order before we confirm it.
